Why I am Running

"I’m running to bring a fresh perspective and be a voice for change in this time of legislative gridlock and partisan rancor. I believe I can offer the kind of dynamic political leadership we need to restore people’s faith in what government does to help people every day.

I’m a small business owner who has struggled and survived in the toughest economy we’ve seen in decades. I am not a career politician, but I’ve been in the trenches working to elect bold progressive leaders to office my whole life. We’ve hit bottom, not only in our economy, but also in terms of people’s confidence in government. People are hurting and they’re angry because our government is paralyzed and unable to help when we need it most.

This is no time to play it safe. People are thirsty for a new direction. We need bold leaders with a fresh perspective that can change the way we do business on Beacon Hill. I am willing to fight for that. Let me be our voice in the State Senate and I promise you will be heard.

On April 13th, I ask for your vote for State Senate."

I’m running for State Senator because our government and our economy are a mess. We clearly need a new direction, and I want to offer a fresh perspective and the kind of passionate, bold leadership we need now more than ever.

What we don’t need is more of the same -- which is what we will get if we elect either of the two establishment candidates in this race -- Sal DiDomenico and Tim Flaherty. Tim’s message is one of inevitability – that is, “Vote for me because I’m raising the most money and I’m going to win.”
